It was the first snow-covered day
I awoke to find snow deep on my drive
I wanted to make a snow angel
For winter had arrived
I awoke to find snow deep on my drive
I wanted to make a snow angel
For winter had arrived
The fields were white
The road was slick with ice
The trees hung with the heavy snow
It looked so fresh and nice
For winter had arrived
The world was transformed
Into a winter wonderland
Everything covered with a thick blanket of white
Branches draped with a snowy pearl stand
For winter had arrived
There was a quiet whisper
Across the town
As the lacy fluffy flakes
Collected in the sky and fell down
For winter had arrived
Our first snowfall came today - thus, motivation for our next blog post! It was so much fun watching my students play (they were playing, laughing and imagining) during recess. They are the "big" kids and often don't engage in the type of play I observed today during our recess time.
So, with joy in my heart, I sat at my computer and revised my Writer's Workshop lesson for Thursday and prepared the next blog post prompt. Something that brought out so many smiles, giggles, and pure happiness; MUST be written about!
